Nashville Pro-Am Night 2 Recap

Nashville Pro-Am Night 2 Recap

The second night of the 2019 Nashville Pro-Am by far exceeded opening night results with two teams looking to stay undefeated and other teams searching for their first win. The final game of the night came down to the last shot between Car Source and Asurion. Asurion would win the nail biter by the score of 89-86. Big buckets once again for league MVP front-runner Jaylen Bradford with 32 points. Including the go-ahead basket with 4.5 seconds left in the 4th. “I just wanted to find the best shot possible for us to get the win.” Bradford said. Bradford was not alone in the scoring department as Asurion had three other players in double figures. Car Source’s Ray Hopkins would not be out done with 27 points but failed to attempt the final shot of the game.

In the second game, both Team Pinnacle and Slim and Husky’s were both searching for their first win of the league. Slim and Husky’s would come out on top in dominate fashion winning by the score of 95-78.Slim and Husky’s big second half is what made the difference. After trailing by four at the half, Slim and Husky’s outscored Team Pinnacle 57-36

The first game was very like the final game of the night with a close game between AC Dentistry and Team Cash. Team Cash would go on to win 64-63. Rebounds were the difference between the two teams as Team Cash would outrebound AC Dentistry 50-28, 21 coming between Nickus Doaks and Tony Easley who both had a double-double. “We knew that if that ball is under the rim, they (AC Dentistry) had a better chance of getting it than we did, but we knew that they (AC Dentistry) wouldn’t crash like that so we had to get it and play our game. That was our whole focus.” Doaks said After being down in the first quarter by three, Team Cash would have a big second half holding AC Dentistry to just 10 points in the third quarter. AC Dentistry’s Shawn Olden led the team in scoring with 21 points, while Malik Martin went scoreless in Wednesday night action. Day two leaves only Asurion as the last unbeaten team, and Team Pinnacle the only team searching for their first win.
